In this new twist on an old story, the Seniors attempt a male makeover. They start with a square, and through judicious clothes and dancing lessons, turn him into ''most wanted.'' The book has funny things to say about what makes popularity, but it falls apart at the end, as the plot coincidences and weaknesses drag it down. The characters are one-dimensional.
