The continuing saga of Stephanie, the foster sister with a troubled past, moves right along at a good clip, piling up one plot contrivance after another. The town's richest boy falls in love with her, but she fears her checkered past will drive him away. So she lies and clams up. He persists in spite of misunderstandings that would try the patience of a saint. Preposterous, but a fast read for those hooked on the series.
