'Poor Roger! He had found so much in the Cineverse and so many friends: Delores (how could he have known when he fell in love with the pouting beauty that she was from another dimension?); Doc, the former town drunk; Zabana, the Jungle Prince; and Big Louie, who's actually rather short. And who could say how many of them were still alive? Is Delores lost to Roger forever, stranded as he is on Earth without a Captain Crusader Decoder Ring to return him to the Cineverse? Is the Cineverse doomed, with the nefarious, nasty Dr Dread triumphant over the forces of good? Roger is desperate. More so when he discovers his mother's new boyfriend, the next-door-neighbour, is actually Menge the Merciless, Captain Crusader's archest foe. And when Roger does escape the evil fiend and finds his way back, he is trapped in the most dangerous of all movie worlds - the musical.. Meanwhile, Delores and the gang escape the clutches of Dr Dread and his sadistic henchperson Big Bertha, only to find themselves in even greater danger - confronted by a creature that carries the putrescent stench of things long dead, a creature intent on making Delores his mate - the Slime Monster...
