Get Ready to Take a Terrifying Trip Down Memory Lane

Will James's tenth high school reunion starts out innocently enough. Sure, he has the usual nerves, facing his peers without having achieved his dreams. But so what if he's a tabloid reporter instead of a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist? So what if, years after being left at the altar by his high school sweetheart, Will isn't even thinking about marriage? Most people haven't done any better.

But the reunion takes a dark turn when Will discovers that one of his old friends was killed during their senior year--even though Will remembers hanging out with his friend both at graduation and after. He even received an e-mail from the guy a few days ago. Yet everyone else remembers the hit-and-run, the funeral . . . and now Will's memories are beginning to change.

Soon other terrible memories begin to surface, acts of violence from the past that are brutally altering the present--ruining lives or even ending them. Somehow the past is being changed, and it seems that Will alone is aware of the shifting reality. But why? And how can he hope to change it?

"Christopher Golden collides the ordinary and the supernatural with wonderfully unsettling results. THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN is a wicked little thriller. Rod Serling would have loved it." - Max Allan Collins

"Christopher Golden is one of the most hard-working, smartest, and most talented writers of his generation, and his books are so good and so involving that they really ought to sell in huge numbers. Everything he writes glows with imagination." - Peter Straub
