For Huy the Scribe these are difficult times in ancient Egypt. He has no job, little money and is suffering the unwelcome attentions of the secret police. A chance encounter with his old friend Amotju leads to even worse prospects, as Amotju wants him to investigate a tomb-robbing operation.
