French novelist Marie Ferranti was lauded by the Académie Française for her first novel, The Women of San Stefano (1995). Two more novels followed as well as an essay in 2002 on the works of Michel Mohrt: Le Paradoxe de l'Ordre. Her latest work is The Night Hunt, published in 2004. The Princess of Mantua was awarded the 2002 Grand Prix du Roman by the Académie Française.
