Bright Shadow is an extremely good thriller that deals with such contemporary topics as the assault on Waco, the nature of evangelist ministers, and the American citizen's relationship with his government -- i.e., can the government be trusted? Strong characters and several unexpected twists make for a smooth, fast read and a great deal to think about.
