Donna started writing short stories and placed second in a magazine contest. This gave her the courage to continue. Characters began invading her dreams and thoughts and she realized that the depths of their stories required whole books.

She lectures on writing at conferences, libraries, schools, and bookstores. She also teaches Writing to Sell at community schools hoping to help others realize their dreams of being published.

Donna lives in New Jersey with her one-eyed, black cat named Bear and a calico named Cleo.
