Big rig truck driver Cat DeAngelo desperately needs her high-dollar cross-country run to pay her mother's nursing home bill and keep their ailing company afloat. DeAngelo Trucking's reputation was built on getting there on time . . . and fast. When a quarrel with her co-driving brother has him jumping ship, she quickly hires fellow driver, Ricky Steel, who's suffered an engine breakdown. Since time will make or break her company. she can't afford to be picky if she wants to meet her deadline.

They immediately clash. Ricky bring extra baggage in the form of a scruffy little dog that sheds hourly and tries to sleep in her bed. Not to mention his annoying way of questioning the routes she chooses and how he so carelessly drops his gum wrappers on the truck's floor. Plus, he far too much a hottie to fit into her normally tidy and comfortable world. But when someone sabotages her truck, he comes to her rescue. And when she gets sick, he drives double time. Soon she softens toward the scruffy little dog and his owner as they battle tampering, break-ins and a runaway truck. There's no question that someone is after Cat's business and may even kill to get it. Suddenly the hottie and his courageous dog are the only ones she can count on and he finds himself with his heart in her hand.
