After being inducted into a refugee program, with out my consent, I'm thrown to the wilds of a primitive planet. This might be manageable if I wasn't a surrogate carrying a baby that's almost ready to pop. Here I am though, hauling a half mauled alien across the wilds, who could stand to be just a bit more appreciative of all the effort I'm putting in.

He's as surly as they come, and as broken as I've ever seen. Something about his eyes makes my heart squeeze in my chest. He might be a grump, but in this new world he's all I have. If I'm being honest with myself I kind of like it when he growls.

I think he likes me too, but someone has broken something inside of him, and even though he wants me...he might just let me and the baby go...
