Carlos Fuentes recommends
Skin Deep (1988) Guy Garcia "An exciting, beautifully paced contemporary novel that is at the same time faithful to its origins, burdened by its past, and dramatically aware of its own cultural options." | The Book of Fantasy (1988) Adolfo Bioy-Casares, Jorge Luis Borges and Silvina Ocampo "I think it is marvellous." | The Garden of Secrets (1997) Juan Goytisolo "This work deserves the highest recognition . . . no-one can deny Juan Goytisolo is the main Spanish novelist on active service." |
