Custis Long's reputation as an expert animal driver lands him an unlikely assignment. The U.S. government asks him to drive 6,000 head of sheep to a Navajo reservation - where the displaced Indians survive by weaving intricate blankets for fashionable folks back east.
Problem is, the only way to get the sheep to the shears is through cattle country, which could spark an all-out range war. But when a pack of pistol-wearing wolves comes howling for the herd, Longarm isn't going to forgo his flock without a fight...
