Rachel West's husband walks out one day in 1964 on his wife and sons. Struggling in a poorly-paid job, Rachel hopes her luck will change and Uncle Chip leaves his boat-building business to her. Tragedy ensues but Rachel realizes who and what holds the key to her family's happiness.
