About K J Egan
K.J. Egan graduated with B.A. in English from Cornell University, where he studied creative writing under Dan McCall (Jack the Bear) and Robert Morgan (Gap Creek). He is the author of five novels, most recently Where It Lies (St. Martin's Minotaur, 2009), and numerous short stories. Writing as Conor Daly, he published a three-book golf mystery series, which also has been translated into German. Two of these novels, Local Knowledge and Buried Lies, received the 1997 Washington Irving Book Award for Fiction, which is awarded biennially by the Westchester County Library Association. K.J.'s short fiction has appeared in Rosebud, Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine, Whispers, Fiction Quarterly, Dan River Anthology 2005, and in the Small Crimes and Fedora III mystery anthologies. K.J. teaches fiction writing as an adjunct instructor at Westchester Community College in Valhalla, New York. He also teaches Advanced Legal Research and Writing as an adjunct professor in the Professional Studies department of Berkeley College in Manhattan.
