(2023)
A novel by

The Simwell Strangler has been quiet for months, but he’s about to murder again…

A dead woman is found at the Pass, a stretch of parkway between two housing estates. Who would murder such a lovely person? Has the Strangler come back to terrorise the town?

Roman – The killer, a man no one suspects. His childhood has warped his mind, and he craves control. Murder gives him that, but it isn’t enough. He hasn’t killed the one person he needs to get rid of; he hates her, she disgusts him, and the sooner she’s gone, the better it will be.

Martin – He’s known Roman for years, they’re best friends, but something’s off about him. The images and links in their messaging group, his odd demeanour. Martin has other issues on his mind, too—his wife’s apathy, his PTSD and nightmares, his retirement. Soon, though, he’s going to get more excitement than he bargained for…

Sandra – Sick of her marriage, her life, and the menopause, she doesn’t know how much more she can take. Things have to change, but she’s not quite ready for it yet. Until her best friend drops a bombshell. Is it time to make a stand? Can Sandra tell Roman it’s time to end their marriage?

Rachel – She’s lied to her husband, Martin, for eighteen long years. She’s stagnating, eager for a better existence, but Martin has become staid and boring. Old. When she accidentally blurts out what’s wrong, everything changes, and life for these next-door neighbours will never be the same again.

A murderous rampage. No DNA or clues left behind. Lies and deceit all round. Simwell has once again become the place where no one wants to live…
