Crosses, double-crosses and perhaps even triple-crosses abound in this taut, well-written and well-delivered spy thriller. The story, reminiscent of le Carre and Deighton, takes place in the final day before the fall of Saigon as secret papers and millions of dollars in American currency fall into enemy hands. Simon Prebble uses the timber of his voice, as well as different accents and inflections, to give a fully voiced performance, which makes the characters come alive. He does an excellent job with voices of both sexes and many nationalities. The production values are high, and the story easy to follow. This is a great choice for fans of fast-action audiobooks.
