Psychic librarian, Ophelia Jensen, has been having recurring dreams about a 'soul mate', but she's never met this guy before and doesn't have any clues as to how she is supposed to find him. Disregarding the dreams, she continues to go about her life with her Grandmother Abby, a benevolent witch, and her adopted daughter, Tink, a medium. Try as she might, she can't get the stranger from her dreams out of her mind until she finally meets him at a library event at a local winery. Turns out life has played another trick on her - Ophelia knew MJ LaSalle in a previous life and they were not friends. But just as Ophelia and MJ begin to figure why they have crossed paths once again, MJ is shot and it is up to Ophelia to unravel the clues.
