The Bacleev were an arrogant people, believing they were favored by the gods above other humans and creatures. Shera had always gone her own way seperate from her people. After dreaming of and then meeting Gar an enormous tawny and gold mountain man she realizes that the gods her people so devotedly worship may be evil. As she learns to trust this graceful beast of a man, she finds that they may be the only ones able to save her people and restore balance to the valley with the abilities she has gained from this dark force.
