Renate Dorrestein is a Dutch writer, journalist and feminist. She won the Annie Romein prize in 1993 for her complete work. She started working as a journalist in a magazine called Panorama and she published her book novel(Buitenstaanders) in 1983. Her sister's suicide has a great influence in her books.
