The Season For Love

(1962)
A novel by

That winter season in Palm Bech began like any other. " Odd jobs girl" Dinah Hollister's regular clients notified her to open their villas and get them ready and be prepared to "sit" with their pampered pets. But the pattern changed when the Admiral,Dinah's father, suprisingly agreed to the publication of his private letters to his wife- a famous poetess who died when Dinah was only three. The publisher immediately sent along editor Rick Marston to help organize the material. Soon after, another attractive stranger arrived in town: Ledford Brayle, man-about-the-world and its most eligible- and elusive-bachelor. Now Dinah had two young men pursuing her, though she couldn't believe anyone as sophisticated as ledford could really be interested in her. She refused to take him seriously. Then, one day, he was gone- taking the heart she had tried so hard to protect with him...
