Scotland (1926 - 2016)

Margaret Thomson Davis was the author of over twenty novels, the best known of which is The Breadmakers, first published in 1972 and described in The Daily Express as 'a Glaswegian Coronation Street'. Her work ranged from bestselling family sagas to crime thrillers, to her autobiography, Write From the Heart. Other titles by Margaret Thomson Davis include The New Breadmakers, A Darkening of the Heart, Burning Ambition, A Deadly Deception, The Glasgow Belle, The Clydesiders Trilogy and The Tobacco Lords Trilogy.
