In addition to his short stories and novels, Guy de Maupassant was the author of around 200 chroniques, which appeared in journals such as Le Gaulois and Gil Blas. Many addressed literary, artistic, or social themes and some were inspired by political events of the day. This volume contains some of the lighter pieces, presented in the original French with English annotations.
