Debauched, illegal, and on the run, Steven and Stella are an English couple in Laguna. She works in a gallery and has affairs; he pilots a boat for a plastic surgeon and likes to watch her. Then, when Stella thinks she has a stalker, Steven congratulates her on having "this year's must-have accessory." Even the cop they call in thinks he's dealing with a couple of English wackos with less-than-perfect teeth—but that doesn't stop him from finding Stella as sexy as hell… And so begins a spiral of violence, paranoia, and death under the California sun.
