About Barry Davies
Barry Davies joined the Welsh Guards in 1962 and volunteered for SAS selection at the earliest opportunity. He spent 18 years with the regiment, serving in trouble spots all over the world. In recognition of the part he played in the storming of a hijacked Lufthansa airliner at Mogadishu in 1977, Barry was awarded the British Empire Medal.
