Owen, the school heart-throb, finds himself up on Heroes' Hill on New Year's Eve listening to Kevin Moody, the school loser, rambling about the sleeping heroes of Atlantis and the powers of light and darkness. A few weeks later, Kevin is dead and Owen finds himself saddled with a fantastic quest.
