There is rattling of skeletons. When local businessman Jack Wells is found battered to death in his workshop, skeletons soon begin to rattle in the family cupboard as DCI Ed Swift investigates. Jack's widow Sheila, however, is quick to point the finger of suspicion at local girl Tamzin Crowther, a self-styled white witch. Whilst Swift must act on the strength of the forensic evidence mounting against Tamzin, he senses that the real killer is still free. Things take a sinister turn when Swift is assaulted outside his home - an attack that sounds a warning against his continued probing into the dead man's family - and the chilling and unexpected motive is revealed.
