Amber Deckers grew up in South Africa where she studied film, before going on to work for an advertising agency. During this time, she studied journalism part-time and eventually joined MARIE CLAIRE as a features and fashion writer and book reviewer.Deciding to swap the shores of Africa for London, Amber worked for various publishers in London before joining an independent film production company with the idea of creating a television programme about teenager issues. When the project was shelved, Amber decided to put her research and ideas into writing books for teenagers.Amber and her husband, Craig, have returned to the UK after living in Grenada. They now live in Surrey with their son, Tay, and their Doberman and tabby -- both rescue animals from the West Indies. Amber works as a freelance journalist, and is currently putting the finishing touches to a second LIBERTY BELLE novel.
