As the resources of the Earth grew inadequate for its population, Stephen Rathbone organized an intrepid band to search out a new, unexplored region of the world which might be developed as a home for future generations. On their dirigible, The Comet, the band heads for the North Pole, never dreaming of the dangers that lie in wait among the ice floes and barren wastes of the frozen north!
