IN THE BROODING WILD (1904)
A man who lives in the heart of the northern Rockies sees the drama of life moving with a tremendous simplicity. Ralph and Nicol Westley were such men, born and bred in a mountain dugout. They had never seen the prairie, never left their mountain fortress. They had been born to the life of trappers, cut off from most of the world. But today, in the midst of a snowstorm, that all changed. The sound of a cry forced them outside, into the snowstorm. Ten yards further on they almost fell over a dark mass lying in the snow.

THE HOUND FROM THE NORTH (1905)
A story about life and death in the brutal Northwest, a tale of man against nature at its harshest and most primitive.
