About Ralph Compton
Born in Alabama during the Depression, Compton moved to Nashville in 1978, where he tried his had at publishing, record producing, and songwriting before he turned his hand to writing westerns. After Compton's death in 1999, Ralph Cotton and Robert Vaughan were hired to continue writing under the Ralph Compton name.
