Peter Clines recommends
How to Become the Dark Lord (and Die Trying) (2024)
(Dark Lord Davi, book 1)
Django Wexler
"Wexler smashes a dozen tropes and then glues them back together like a Japanese vase in what can only be called a page-turning manic pixie Dark Lord story. Part portal fantasy, part Groundhog Day, part R-rated D&D campaign gone off the rails, and just so much damned fun. I honestly can't remember the last time I had this much sheer fun with a book."
Shakedown (2023)
(Crypt , book 1)
Scott Sigler
"Crazy, fun, and very cinematic! It's like Hunt for Red October meets Event Horizon."
Episode Thirteen (2023)
Craig DiLouie
"A beautiful Russian doll of a story... Episode Thirteen hooks you, creeps you out, and then it overwhelms you. It's House of Leaves meets Haunting of Hill House, in all the best possible ways."
