Angles

(2002)
And Other Stories
A collection of stories by

This collection by Orson Scott Card begins with the tale of a recently deceased man trying to find his way to heaven, and ends with a science fiction story about the discovery of a quantum mechanism for memory, and the results of that discovery. The stories in between range from the horrific to the fantastic. All of the stories are affecting, some of them deeply, and are invariably enhanced by the performances of the well-matched readers. Of particular note is the performance of the author, who expertly reads the first story, "Homeless in Hell," and Theodore Bikel, who adds just the right touch to the macabre "A Thousand Deaths."
