Dinky Dau Death

(1984)
(The third book in the Saigon Commandos series)
A novel by

Sergeant Mark Stryker's men see their share of blown-up buildings and blood. As MP's in 'Nam, the toughest beat in the world, it's all part of a day's work. But when somebody puts a price of the head of a First Cavalry Captain known as "Moast the Ghost", Stryker leaves the concrete jungle for the real thing to try and stop an assassin. Stryker's point men are two rookie MP's who infiltrate Moast's platoon. And in a tracer-filled fire zone, they soon discover that practically all of Moast's men are eager to frag their commanding officer. When Stryker's men did a little deeper, they start thinking that they might like to kill this Captain Moast themselves! Stryker's in a tough spot, and the war won't wait. If the assassin doesn't act, the Cong will. Somebody is going to get killed -- maybe the whole damned platoon -- and when the bullets start flying, Stryker bets his life on the Saigon Commandos.
