End Game

"P" is for pawn; "B"is for bishop; "D" is for dead; the letters are carved into the foreheads of corpses found on the streets of the fashionable Upper East Side of Manhattan. Detective Paul Regal gets a call from the killer, revealing that the bodies represent pieces on a chessboard of city blocks.
