Mark grew up in Denver and has fond memories of it when it was "just a cow town." Though Mark's father was Jewish and his mother was Baptist, Mark rejected organized religion in his teens because he felt attending a synagogue was a "waste of a good Friday night." Mark and his wife live in Nederland with their two daughters.
