31 Paradiso (2022)
Rhoda Huffey
"Rhoda Huffey writes with an unforgettable voice - astringent, funny, ironic and whimsical. This voice is perfect for 31 Paradiso. Her subject is the crazy quilt of humans in Venice, California, and the human condition as seen through the lens of overpriced real estate and middle-aged passion. Jesus, of course, is never far from the action. Reading 31 Paradiso is like hearing a great story from an old friend."

The Flying Cutterbucks (2020)
Kathleen M Rodgers
"When the history of this time is written, Rodgers will be one of those novelists who wasn't afraid to talk about what the late 2010s was really like."

The Hidden Light of Northern Fires (2017)
Daren Wang
"This is a vivid study of a corner of Civil War America that feels fresh and unexplored. Like all the best historical fiction, The Hidden Light of Northern Fires opens a window into the present by exploring the past."
