Daniel's adventure resumes in The Faces of the Finder. Being relentless pursed by Nas Dardanos, the commander of the Inquisitors, and haunted by a fear of failing his friends, Daniel struggles through challenges that test his resolve and faith in himself as he follows the path laid out by the Crystal Tear. He'll lead Bookman, Kristen, and Skydda from the crystal moon of Kryos to the sun baked world of Skia and then to President Macab's own stronghold of Dormus Prime. Along the way, he will learn the painful truth about his family, something that will make him feel betrayed and shake his faith in those that he loves, causing him to question everything that he knows about his past, and his future. In the end, Daniel will confront those that pursue him, Nas Dardanos and Alexor Macab, and witness the death of someone near and dear to him, and possibly lose his entire family. To save them, Daniel will have to face that which he fears the most, a thing that had claimed the sanity and then the lives of many before him. He will have to confront his own personal demons and travel through the dark recesses of his mind, being forced to peer into the shadowy corners and hollows of his psyche where nightmares are born and wait with hungry jaws for the weak and uncertain. Daniel will have to confront these monsters in order to save his friends and family, and the millions whose fates are now inexplicably tied to his.
