The stories in this book include 'Blow Up", and 14 others as well, such as the one that is about a mystery novel reader who finds out too late that he himself is the murderer's victim and another story in which a motorcyclist has an accident and finds himself in a hospital dreaming he is being sacrificed in an ancient Aztec ritual only to awake to find he actually is. Cortazar is into the magical tradition of the "doubles". This is exciting reading, yet deep and philosophical at the same time.
