There’s a new veterinarian in town, and Scarlet Linden doesn’t like it one bit.

Living in the small town of Winter Springs, Colorado, all of her life, Scarlet Linden is ready for adventure. Owning Linden Farms with her two brothers has kept her from her dreams, but no more. After The Carrot Patch activities, she plans to tell her brothers she’s taking time off. The world is waiting for her, and she longs to figure out what she wants to do with the rest of her life. Until a freak accident keeps her tethered to the place she desires to escape.

Shane Cooper’s only desire moving to the mountain town is to help animals and the people who love them. Against his parents’ advice, he takes over the local veterinarian practice. But his first week doesn’t go as planned as his client count is far below what he’d hoped for and what the previous vet had promised. After causing an accident, he’s made an enemy in the one family he needs to help him get his practice off the ground.

Shane hopes to make amends but getting the cold shoulder from Scarlet at every turn may send him packing his bags and closing his business. He must change her mind, or he lose everything he’s ever dreamed of.

Shane and Scarlet have to work together in order to make The Carrot Patch a success.
