Donato Carrisi was born in 1973 and studied law and criminology. Since 1999 he has been working as a TV screenwriter. The Whisperer is his first novel. 180,000 copies were sold in Italy, where it won the Italian Bancarella and Camaiore Prizes. Rights have now been sold in eight other European countries.
