A group of cave divers exploring the deepest recess of a previously unexplored section of the Chevé Cave Mexico – one of the deepest caves on Earth – sent a message up from the bottom of the flooded cave, via a sealed bottle that floated to the surface.

A rescue team, made up of some of the world’s leading cave diving experts were sent in. When they failed to return, an international call for help was sent to the global community of cave diving experts who might possibly have been able to reach the bottom of the cave.
