The children of Alderman Winterbottome's School for Incapacitated Orphans are given a treat by their benefactress, Lady Charity Armstrong - The Middling Fair. But amongst the merry-go-rounds and dodgems are some other bizarre attractions which may allow the children to lose their infirmity and become like ordinary children. A tale reminiscent of the works of Lewis Carroll.
