Tremont Cafe owner Reagan Tremont is becoming more and more desperate as the bills stack up. The Cafe she proudly took over when her mother died has become a leaden weight around her neck. She wants her old life back. The one where she didn’t have to worry about bills, insurance, taxes, and a sixteen-year-old brother hell-bent on screwing up his life. To make matters worse, a representative of an unnamed but high-profile real estate broker wants to buy The Tremont Cafe and extinguish her legacy with the swipe of a pen. Except, what he’s offering wouldn’t allow her to break even financially. Besides, she promised her mother to keep the shop in the family and is determined to make this untenable situation work.

Jonathan Tate Broderick, spent a lot of time on his own while growing up. His mother worked at a bar and was a magnet for loser boyfriends. Her priorities were always men and partying and him coming in a distant third. At an early age, he'd learned to fend for himself while dreaming about being rich. His guidance counselor in high school secured a scholarship for him to NYU. He worked two jobs while in school full-time and graduated at the top of his class. More importantly, after ten years of hard work and determination, he finally achieved his goal of becoming a multi-millionaire due to his real estate prowess. Proving that if he wanted something bad enough, he went after it full steam ahead. He'd always been able to identify the perfect opportunity. Except for now. His best friend Jeremy is hellbent on buying an old rundown coffee shop called Tremont’s Cafe and turning it into a craft beer bar. But the owner has refused to sell. Tate looked into her financials and the woman is barely holding on. Killing her with kindness is his next move. That way, she’ll never know what hit her until after the papers are signed.
