Facsimile reprint by permission the Executors of Vera Brittain, 1893-1970. Undated but recent [date required by Amazon is estimated]. Unpaginated stapled booklet [approx. 46 pgs.]. Illus. Foreword by Vera Brittain is dated 1951. She is buried at St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Trafalgar Square, London. Her plaque reads "Writer and Reformer, Blessed are the Peacemakers". Draws principally on the churchwardens' accounts (dating back to 1525), but with much on Dick Sheppard, etc. - "I saw a great Church standing in the greatest Square of the greatest City in the world".
