Tim Binding was born in Germany in 1947. He is a scriptwriter and novelist. His first novel, The Kingdom of Air, was published to critical acclaim. His second novel, A Perfect Execution was published in 1996 by Picador and was shortlisted for The Guardian Fiction Prize of that year. In March 1998, BBC1 screened a major new comedy-drama series, The Last Salute, co-written by Tim Binding and Simon Nye (writer of Men Behaving Badly). Tim Binding lives in Kent with his wife and daughter.
