When ex-Vietnam veteran Washington T. Diamond quits working as racketeer Leon Greco's 'enforcer', he and his nightclub singer girlfriend Chelsea are drawn into a web of danger.
Greco exerts a vicious reprisal, but Diamond receives support from Cave, a police detective, who sets him up as a private investigator.
But Cave is only using Diamond as a pawn to bring down Greco's empire.
