Susan P. Baker is a former Texas District Court judge, former criminal and family attorney, and a former probation officer. She is the past head of the Southwest Chapter of Mystery Writers of America, and a member of Sisters in Crime, Private Eye Writers of America, and the Authors Guild. She is married, the mother of two, and the grandmother of six children.
