Dead is better.

Violet Stonebridge didn't expect to inherit her family's mansion. After the last time she'd seen her grandfather and Aunt Vivian, Violet figured she'd been written out of her Aunt's will. As luck would have it, she also inherited everything contained inside the stately mansion as well. Not all luck is good luck.

Violet soon finds that while there are certain perks to her new life, the house has secrets and horrors of its own. With nowhere else to go, she is stuck trying to survive whatever infests Stonebridge Manor.

In the end, Violet learns the terrible lesson that sometimes death is better.
