The police rule it an accident, but a Vietnamese fisherman, father of the man lost at sea, is convinced that it was foul play. As Wil digs deeper, he must deal with murder, violence, and the customs and mores of a different ethnic culture. To solve this mystery, Wil relies on his experience and his past history as a Vietnam vet who also lost a son. Besides the action-filled plot, the reader can enjoy the full development of Wil as a character. One sometimes stops to reread and savor a sentence from a writer who can really write.
