Novelist Geraldine Frayling's attempt to go jogging to get fit and beautiful for her wedding is interrupted by a distraught young woman. The woman has just discovered a body on Hampstead Heath. Geraldine befriends the woman, who is murdered soon after their strange encounter, and is forced to investigate the case.
